You had your first, it was amazing… this is your second… each year tops the last.  i will never forget the day you were born my sweet boy, we love you so very much. You have made our family full, my heart bigger and watching you and your brother is what i live for. mummy xx

peek a boo…

The 8th of June is our boys first birthday. You had one, I had one. We don’t remember it. But I bet our parents do.
I bet they remember bringing us home. Sleepless nights. Being unsure if they were doing everything right, or wrong.
I bet they remember our first cries. Our firsts.
I bet they do.

I can assure you, I will never forget the day my boy was born.
It is the greatest journey. The most incredible story. The most beautiful masterpiece. That just keeps changing and growing and changing you all at the same time. In so many ways.

I love you my sweet boy. May you have countless more firsts. May your life be full of joy, and love and endless happiness. May your sorrows be meaningful and profound and may you have the wisdom to see them as lessons.  May you always look for the sunshine, and see the beauty in the rain. May you dance like it’s nobody’s business and cry big juicy tears when you need to. May you be able to feel every emotion, the good the bad and the surreal. May life shower you with as many blessings as possible. May you have a free spirit and a light heart. Cruz Neil may your life be amazing, even in the ordinary moments. In every moment.

Last year I caught a moment with Pierce in the Autumn, It is one of my very favourite photos of him and this year… I wanted to do something like the same with Cruz and Pierce. With my camera in hand playing with my children in the leaves stealing a few photo moments as we played I was happy Pierce was Happy and Cruz was watching us thinking we were crazy! The photos always tell the tale, they are now printed on camvas up on my wall in my front room. Each time i see them i am reminded of this day, i hear our laughs, see our smiles, feel our love. xx

WE GAVE PIERCE THE CAMERA TO SEE IF HE COULD TAKE A QUICK PIC OF US  ( MY HEAVY WORK CAMERA!) WOW… I THINK WE FOUND THE NEXT PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE FAMILY!! X

I have been a bit lazy on the blog…As a wedding/portrait photographer my busiest months are May-September. Perhaps that is why I am only really resurfacing now, in October. I have had a lot to keep me busy, only 2 more weeks then im back in the studio for christmas sessions….. so for the next two weeks i intend on doing as little blogging as i can and spending as much time with my family as i can. I’m thrilled that my absolute favourite time of year is here, check in for the pumpkin photoshoot and the christening of Cruz Neil.

Sleep when your baby sleeps…. i cant stop watching him, getting to know him, he is an absolute darling.  Im behind on my blogging but i think when you have a 3 month old baby you have lots more things to worry about than a blog! I just needed to share some pics of him….. Something this sweet needs to be shared dont you think! xx
